The Korthauer Log House
The Korthauer family was one of the founding families of Bensenville. They immigrated to the USA from Germany. They built the cabin on Green Street in 1844 and it was moved to the Library in 1989. We are determined to fully restore and transform the cabin into a living history museum and community gardens for the benefit of the public
Bensenville School Building
The Bensenville School located on Green Street was build in 1917 and served Bensenville School District 2 for many years until it was closed and sold off for office spaces. The building currently sits empty and underutilized. The goal for the association is to renovate the building in to a local Bensenville history museum for the public and offices on the Second floor for companies to lease.
